Dupli Find

Locating duplicate lines in large data files can be hard and tedious work. If you wish to keep your lists or Excel databases clean and tidy, you can use Dupli Find. This lightweight application is capable of identifying duplicate lines in plain text files, Word documents or Excel spreadsheets. It allows you to target and remove individual duplicates, use filters and more.

Dupli Find is offered as a shareware application, which means that you can try it free of charge, for a limited period of time, after which you must purchase a license, if you wish to continue using the product. Installing the application is a simple operation, which takes only a few seconds to complete.

The user interface consists of two text boxes, for the source text and found duplicates. When you load a file, in TXT, DOC or XLS format, a tabbed window will appear, on which you can make a series of adjustments, like ignoring empty lines and white spaces, performing a case sensitive comparison and others. You can also use filters, to include or exclude lines that contain certain strings, skip a certain number of characters and more. If you load an Excel spreadsheet, you can target a specific worksheet and column.

Duplicate groups are color coded, to make them easier to spot. You can select one or more results manually, by clicking their check boxes or you can use one of many smart selection options and target every first or second duplicate and so on. To eliminate duplicates, you just need to mark them and save the loaded file. The software allows you to save the file with a different name, so you won't effect the original.

Dupli Find can also count the duplicate frequency, in the loaded document. Additionally, you can copy all duplicates or selected ones to the clipboard or save them in a separate file.
